FDA approves implantable device to block hungry nerve signals to your brain

Last week, as part of an ongoing effort to quell the country’s growing obesity epidemic, the US Food & Drug Administration gave its seal of approval to a crazy new medical device. The recently-greenlighted device, called the Maestro System, is an electronic implant that suppresses hunger by blocking nerve signals between the stomach and brain.
